The program will consist in invited presentations by leaders in the field, as well as contributed oral and poster presentations. The participation of students will be encouraged, and a combination of perspective/tutorial lectures and more technical ones will be included in the program.

Contributions presented at this workshop will be published, after rigorous peer review, in IEEE Transactions on Magnetics.

The XXXVI International Conference of the SEPC continues its tradition as a premier European forum for professionals engaged in cutting-edge research on human and animal cognition. On behalf of the Spanish Society of Psychobiology, it is a pleasure to announce the 6th International Congress of Psychobiology, which will be held in Seville from June 24 to 26, 2026, following the previous editions held in Oviedo (2015), Ávila (2017), GraConference registration is open until May 30.nada (2019), Valencia (2022), and Madrid (2024). This new edition aims to further consolidate the congress as an essential meeting point for the exchange of knowledge on the relationship between the nervous system and behavior in all its dimensions.

The Organizing Committee and the Scientific Committee are preparing a program that will include plenary lectures by internationally renowned experts, symposia, and oral communications covering the most recent advances in our discipline. As tradition dictates, the congress will grant a central role to contributions from young researchers, incorporating specific sessions of short communications and encouraging their active participation in the symposia.

We are working to ensure that this edition, set in the incomparable setting of the city of Seville, combines scientific excellence with a personally and academically enriching experience. Objeto de la Olimpiada:

Las Olimpiadas de Química tienen como objetivo estimular a los estudiantes a buscar la excelencia en el área de la ciencia y promover la relación entre estudiantes, profesores y científicos de distintas partes del mundo.

Toda la información relativa a las Olimpiadas de Química de Andalucía se publicará en la web de la AQA.

La Universidad de Sevilla organiza la Fase Local de la Olimpiada Española de Física (OEF), una competición de estudiantes de Bachillerato y Ciclos Formativos.
 

El objetivo de la Olimpiada de Física es estimular el conocimiento de esta disciplina, en reconocimiento de la importancia creciente de la Física en todos los ámbitos de la Ciencia y de la Tecnología y en la formación integral de los jóvenes, así como promover el desarrollo de contactos nacionales e internacionales en el campo de la Física a nivel preuniversitario.
 

La Olimpiada de Física se desarrolla en tres fases: 

• La Olimpiada Local organizada por la Universidad de Sevilla y la Sección Local de Sevilla de la Real Sociedad Española de Física (RSEF).
• La Olimpiada Española de Física (OEF).
• Las Olimpiadas Internacional (IPhO) e Iberoamericana (OIbF).

Para concurrir a la Fase Nacional los estudiantes deberán participar previamente en las Fases Locales de las distintas Universidades.

Según el reglamento de las Olimpiadas Internacionales, estas competiciones son concursos entre jóvenes estudiantes, cuyo objetivo primordial es estimular el estudio de las Matemáticas y el desarrollo de jóvenes talentos en esta Ciencia.

Es un elemento de importancia en la mejora de nuestro sistema educativo por cuanto suponen, en los muchos profesores que de modo completamente altruista vienen preparando a los alumnos, una necesidad de actualización permanente de conocimientos, una búsqueda de problemas nuevos y de métodos de adaptación a los planes vigentes de nuevos y más atractivos contenidos. El hecho de que el Ministerio de Educación haya establecido un procedimiento para incentivar la tarea de estos profesores, así como la mayor libertad de enseñanza consecuencia de las nuevas legislaciones, incrementará aún más el rendimiento de las Olimpiadas en esta faceta.

Asimismo, las Olimpiadas sirven para promocionar las Matemáticas y dotarlas de un contenido lúdico que lamentablemente han perdido casi por completo por muy diversas razones, por ejemplo, la confusión entre ejercicios y problemas, con la consiguiente desaparición de éstos.

· Fases de las Olimpiadas Matemáticas

Consta de tres categorías con un nivel de dificultad creciente:

1. Fase de Distrito: Suele celebrarse al final del primer trimestre en cada Distrito Universitario; consta de dos pruebas escritas en las que han de resolverse un total de seis problemas. Los participantes son estudiantes de Bachillerato y, excepcionalmente, de cursos inferiores, si van avalados por el profesorado. Los tres alumnos que obtienen mejor puntuación pueden acceder a la fase siguiente.

2. Fase Andaluza: Suele celebrase a finales de febrero, consta de dos pruebas escritas de cuatro horas y media de duración cada una, en el transcurso de las cuales, los participantes deben enfrentarse a un total de seis problemas propuestos por un tribunal. 

2. Fase Nacional: Suele celebrase a finales de marzo, consta de dos pruebas escritas de cuatro horas y media de duración cada una, en el transcurso de las cuales, los participantes deben enfrentarse a un total de seis problemas propuestos por un tribunal. 

Los seis mejores clasificados en esta Fase pueden participar en la fase Internacional y los cuatro primeros participan además en la Olimpiada Iberoamericana.

An international conference aimed at young researchers, being a wonderful opportunity to showcase their work and establish new connections for their career.

The conference main target are PhD students, but it's also of utmost interest to master's students and undergraduate students which are eager to introduce themselves in mathematical research.

There will be parallel sessions in different areas with short talks by the attendees, as well as a poster session. We will also have 4 plenary talks given by young professors and some workshops of general interest, and different social activities.

BYMAT is a wonderful opportunity to meet and learn about fellow young researchers and make connections in your research area and beyond. We encourage you to participate actively with a poster or a talk, and of course that you also enjoy Sevilla in your visit.

We encourage you to present a talk or poster in the conference, which can be subdmitted (via the same form) until the 22nd of september! Please follow the official template for your submissions.

Once you have completed the form, your inscription will be complete after the payment of the registration fee (70€ until the 7th of october) through this webpage, clicking on the enroll button, and can be done either by credit card or bank transfer.

In case of doing a bank transfer, please send to acti2-imus@us.es a copy of the reciept of the transfer, and follow the instructions for the concept of the transfer.

The registration will cover at least lunches, coffee breaks, the social dinner and a welcome kit.

In case you want to present a talk/poster, we recommend that you wait until your work has been confirmed by the scientific committee to pay the registration fee.

Important: Our policy states that no refunds will be given, except in exceptional circumstances.

Funding for students: Closed

We believe BYMAT is a great opportunity to start and learn about mathematical research, thereby giving funding for Master students in the academic years 2024-2025 or 2025-2026 or last year Univ. of Seville Bsc students, to be able to attend the conference.

In order to apply for funding you need to fill out the funding for students form (this forms serves also as a registration form), which can also be found in 7th BYMAT main web. You will need to present a talk or a poster during the conference, which can be based on your bachelor or master thesis, or others works you have done (it´s not needed for the talk/poster to include original results).

If you are based in Seville, we will cover the inscription fee, and in other cases we will also provide lodging during the conference, from sunday the 16th november until thursday the 20th november. Please if you are applying for funding do not pay the registration fee, as it will be covered if your application is accepted.

Hadamard 2025 is the eighth in a series of conferences, the previous seven being held at Wollongong, Australia (1993); Seville, Spain (2007); Galway, Ireland (2009); Melbourne, Australia (2011);  Lethbridge, Canada (2014); Budapest, Hungary (2017); Krakow, Poland (2022). The 1993 conference, called the “Hadamard Centenary” in recognition of Hadamard’s 1893 paper, was organized by Jennifer Seberry and colleagues.

The purpose of the workshop is to bring together researchers and students interested in design theory, especially as it relates to Hadamard matrices and their applications, as well as in related areas in coding theory, association schemes, sequences, finite geometry, difference sets, quantum information theory, theoretical physics and computer security. The audiences would learn about the latest developments in these areas, discuss the latest findings, take stock of what remains to be done on classical problems and explore different visions for setting the direction for future work.

The main topics include but are not limited to:

• Design theory (algebraic and combinatorial).

• Quantum information theory.

• Coding theory, quantum codes and network codes related to combinatorial structures.

• Hadamard matrices and any of their variants/generalizations: Complex Hadamard matrices,  Butson-type, GH over groups, Dihedral and Quaternionic Hadamard matrices, weighing matrices, orthogonal designs/arrays, and so on.

• Cryptography and related combinatorial structures.

• Boolean functions, sequences and related combinatorial structures.

The scientific programme is created by 40 minutes lectures of invited speakers and of 20 minutes contributed talks.  So, the talks presented at the conference will also cover other related topics suggested by the participants. The conference will give the opportunity to research faculty and young researchers in discrete mathematics to learn about the latest developments and explore different visions for their future work. The talks will cover both the theoretical and applied aspects of design theory and quanta, and the latter will be particularly beneficial for faculty and young researchers, by giving them the opportunity to learn more about contemporary applications of combinatorics to communications and information security.

It is our pleasure to announce the “13th International Conference on Carbonic Anhydrases” that will be held in Seville, Spain, in the period 2nd-4th April 2025.

The conference will be co-organized between the Faculty of Chemistry of the University of Seville, the NEUOFARBA Department from the Florence University and the Istituto di Biostrutture e Bioimmagini-CNR from Naples.

The symposium will  bring together world-renowned scientistsm an will represent a great opportunity to show the latest advances in the carbonic anhydrases field, including molecular biology, the design of inhibitors and activators, applications in diverse medical fields, and future trends.

This meeting will provide the framework for the gathering of international experts in the field, enabling the establishment of new collaborative networks, as well as enjoying the beautiful and historical city of Seville.

The conference will take place in the “Aula Magna” of the Faculty of Chemistry, within the Scientific Campus of the University ("Campus Reina Mercedes"), close to the centre of the city and hotels, and easily accessible from the airport and the train station.

La XLI Reunión Científica de la Sociedad Española de Mineralogía (SEM) y la XXVII Reunión Científica de la Sociedad Española de Arcillas (SEA) se celebrarán de manera conjunta en Sevilla (España), en la Universidad de Sevilla, del 15 al 17 de enero de 2025. La reunión SEM-SEA 2025 está organizada por ambas sociedades científicas en colaboración con las áreas de Cristalografía y Mineralogía de la Universidad de Sevilla y Universidad Pablo de Olavide. SEM-SEA 2025 es un foro de encuentro para la comunidad científica y los profesionales que trabajan en los campos de la Mineralogía, Cristalografía, Arcillas, Petrología y Geoquímica.

El 15 de enero tendrá lugar un workshop dedicado a la restauración y conservación del patrimonio cultural. Las sesiones científicas de ambas sociedades se desarrollarán los días 16 y 17 de enero. Concluyendo el acto con una visita de campo el 18 de enero.
